After a few weeks of slow-paced storytelling, Resort finally delivers a satisfying set of episodes. Episodes 61–64 strike a good balance between emotional family drama, kitchen rivalry, suspense, and mystery. More importantly, the story finally begins to move forward instead of circling around the same conflicts.
The biggest positive is the success of the Pantry. Guests start appreciating the food, and the kitchen receives several compliments, proving that the team's hard work is finally paying off. This naturally frustrates John and Nedumaran, who struggle to accept Pantry's growing popularity. Their professional rivalry continues to add an interesting layer to the series.
Another major storyline revolves around Divya's wedding at the resort. The makers wisely complete the wedding track within these four episodes without dragging it unnecessarily. Divya personally invites everyone working at the resort, including Aishu and Nedumaran. However, Nedumaran remains emotionally distant because of his unresolved issues with his daughter. He insists that if he comes, it will only be as the resort's chef, not as her father.
Aishu also initially refuses to attend the wedding, respecting Nedumaran's feelings. At first, this decision feels confusing, but later the series reveals an important twist. The receptionist who has been behaving suspiciously is actually seeking revenge for her brother's death after he was expelled from Nedumaran's kitchen. This revelation finally explains several mysterious incidents, including the earlier cold-storage episode.
The wedding reaches a tense moment when the receptionist attempts to poison the food. Fortunately, Vicky notices that something is wrong before the food is served. Nedumaran and the kitchen staff quickly prepare fresh dishes, preventing a disaster. This sequence creates genuine tension while keeping the emotional tone intact.
The emotional highlight comes when Aishu gives a heartfelt speech to Nedumaran. She reminds him that being a respected chef is important, but being a father is equally important. Her words finally change his heart. Nedumaran attends Divya's wedding, blesses the newly married couple, and even prepares the special sweet that Divya had wished for. It is one of the most satisfying moments in the series so far.
The final episodes also build excitement for the future. A prestigious Star Chef Competition is announced after three years, and Vicky begins wondering whether he has what it takes to compete. At the same time, Aishu discovers a photograph showing the missing chef Chika (Chidambaram) alongside Nedumaran. Instead of explaining the connection, Nedumaran claims he doesn't know him and even asks Aishu to delete the photograph. His reaction immediately raises suspicion and creates an effective cliffhanger.
Overall, Episodes 61–64 are a welcome improvement. The pacing is better, the emotional scenes feel natural, the mystery finally progresses, and the ending leaves viewers eager for the next week's episodes. If the series continues to balance emotional storytelling with meaningful plot progression like this, Resort could become even more engaging in the coming weeks.
