This week's Resort delivered another engaging set of four episodes (65–68), and it was one of the better weeks in recent times. The biggest strength continues to be writer Vijay Kumar's screenplay technique. The opening scene of the first episode is actually the cliffhanger from the final episode of the previous week. This storytelling style immediately creates curiosity, making viewers eager to continue watching all four episodes to discover how the story reaches that moment. It is a smart and effective way to keep the audience hooked.
Nedumaran's Emotional Change
The previous week's episodes ended with a touching surprise when Nedumaran attended his daughter's wedding despite his ego and resentment after the Star Chef competition. This week's episodes begin with him blessing the newly married couple and giving them a heartfelt farewell. It was a satisfying continuation and showed a softer side of his character.
Soon after, the focus shifts back to the resort. A Central Minister's visit is planned, and everyone believes that a successful event could bring national recognition to the resort. Confident as always, Nedumaran prepares to lead the kitchen without realizing that a major crisis is about to unfold. Due to unexpected circumstances, the main kitchen becomes unusable, forcing the entire kitchen team to work from Vetri's pantry. This creates an interesting setup for the coming episodes.
Vetri's Character Feels Inconsistent
One aspect that continues to disappoint is Vetri's character development. Earlier, he made a mature decision to distance himself from Aishu because he wanted to focus on his career and avoid unnecessary complications with Nedumaran's family. It was a sensible decision considering his difficult past and his ambitions.
However, within a short time, he changes his mind and starts getting close to Aishu again. This inconsistency weakens his character. Instead of showing steady growth, the writing makes him appear confused, which reduces the impact of his emotional journey.
Nedumaran Continues to Shine
Nedumaran remains one of the strongest characters in the series. Even as the primary antagonist, his emotions, confidence and screen presence are convincing. His character has multiple layers, making him much more interesting than a typical villain.
Vicky, on the other hand, has become repetitive. His constant anger and jealousy towards Vetri no longer add much to the story. Every scene follows the same pattern, making the character feel one-dimensional. It would be refreshing to see some growth or a different side of him in the coming episodes.
Questions That Keep the Story Interesting
The series has now created several mysteries that make the upcoming weeks exciting:
- When and how will Chidambaram return?
- Will the truth about his disappearance finally be revealed?
- How will the kitchen and pantry teams work together under one roof?
- What will happen between Rhea, Deepak and Rajan?
- Will the resort owner recover from his health problems?
- Will Aishu discover the truth behind Chidambaram and the mysterious photograph?
- Can Vetri succeed in the upcoming star chef competition?

Food Remains the Heart of the Series
One of the biggest strengths of Resort is that it never forgets its core concept. Unlike many drama series that gradually move away from their original theme, Resort continues to focus on cooking, food preparation, presentation and the professional life of chefs.
A good comparison is Heartbeat, which started as a medical drama but later concentrated mostly on romance and relationships. Resort successfully balances emotional drama with its culinary background, making the food sequences feel meaningful rather than just decorative.
Final Verdict
Episodes 65–68 successfully move the story forward while introducing several exciting plotlines for the coming weeks. Although Vetri's inconsistent writing remains a weakness, the screenplay, Nedumaran's performance, the kitchen-versus-pantry setup and the continuing Chidambaram mystery make this week's episodes enjoyable.
In an interview, actor Vijay mentioned that the story would connect more deeply with Chidambaram's storyline after Episode 70. If that happens, the series could become even more engaging.
